Transit Surveillance

DHS is providing funds to record conversations on public transit in some cities.  Are public buses and subways a hotbed of domestic terrorism and criminal conspiracies?  I strongly doubt it.  It’s one thing to investigate an individual for probable cause and place him or her under surveillance and quite another to go on fishing expeditions for criminal activity.  Perhaps we should be searching homes regularly just after breakfast followed by two minutes hate.  May I suggest that we put surveillance inside police stations and federal departments just in case.  I think the evidence room is a good place to start or maybe the police locker room.  Who knows what we might find

The innocent have nothing to fear.
